Introduction: The Australian Institute of Fashion Design (AIFD) is an Australian owned, independent registered training organisation (RTO). AIFD prides itself on delivering high quality training courses that are practically based and highly industry relevant. Classroom activities are designed to replicate typical on-the-job experiences. All of AIFD's trainers are industry professionals with extensive experience in their specialised fields.
History/Special Features: The Australian Institute of Creative Design (AICD) is comprised of the Australian Institute of Fashion Design (AIFD)- offering the Advanced Diploma and Diploma of Applied Fashion Design & Technology; and the Australian Institute of Make-up & Styling (AIMS) offering the Diploma of Beauty Therapy.
Location: We are located in Varsity Lakes on the Gold Coast, within walking distance from the Varsity Lakes Train Station which is currently under construction. The college is located nearby to the Robina Town Shopping Centre and the Robina Train Station.
If coming to us from Brisbane direction, take exit 85 off the Motorway, turn left at the first set of traffic lights (Rina Crt) and left onto Casua Drv.
Student Numbers & Staff: AIFD takes a maximum of 12 students in each fashion intake and prides itself for keeping its class sizes small, so that students can get the maximum amount of personalised attention.
AIMS takes a maximum of 16 students in each Beauty Therapy intake.
All AICD staff have extensive industry experience in their fields and are dedicated to helping the students achieve the best results possible.
