Introduction:
Bond University English Language Institute (BUELI) is the only ELICOS centre on the Gold Coast located on a university campus. All BUELI students have access to university facilities such as a superb sports centre, library, computers, bookshop, restaurants, post office and medical centre. BUELIs English language programs are designed to provide you with English language training using modern learning and teaching methods. BUELI is a member of the English Australia group of colleges, and is fully accredited by the Australian National ELT Accreditation Scheme (NEAS).
History/Special Features:
Student facilities at BUELI include self-access resources with listening posts, computers and audio-visual equipment. Orientation includes a tour of Bond University, a test and an interview which will determine your level of English. At BUELI you will meet people from around the world and make new friends. BUELI students may also join Bond Universitys sporting and social clubs and activities. These include rugby, soccer, tennis, wine appreciation, dragon boating, ice-hockey, scuba diving, music society, debating society, photography club, environment club and many more. Excursions to local places of interest such as Byron Bay, local wildlife sanctuaries and national parks are organised for students to give practical meaning to the vocabulary being learned. These are highly popular with all students. Bond University is only 70 kilometres from Brisbane, the capital of the State of Queensland, and a one-hour flight from Sydney. The Gold Coast airport is only 20 minutes drive from the University.
Location:
Bond University is located on the Gold Coast, only fifteen minutes drive from superb beaches and shopping centres. The Gold Coast is a popular and safe tourist destination, with world-famous surf beaches, national parks and mountain ranges. The climate is ideal for the outdoor life with around 300 days of sunshine per year.

General English; Cambridge examination preparation courses; Business English; English for Academic Purposes (EAP)
English Language Courses:
General English - minimum 2 weeks study. All levels from beginner to advanced. Cambridge examination preparation courses: Preliminary English Test (PET); First Certificate in English (FCE); Certificate in Advanced English (CAE); Business English Certificate (BEC) Vantage level.
English for Academic Purposes (EAP) -: EAP programs are designed to help you succeed in university studies by improving your English and academic study skills. EAP programs help you to achieve the level of English language proficiency needed to undertake tertiary studies at Australian and international universities. Almost all students who complete the EAP courses enrol at Bond University.
IELTS Preparation Course - This course is designed to prepare you for the IELTS test in order to give you the best chance to gain a good score.
Admission Requirements:
General English - none. EAP : IELTS of at least 5.0 with no band less than 5.
Enrolment Procedures:
Complete a BUELI application form (available from BUELI's website) and submit it, either online or by fax.
Tuition Fees:
General English & Cambridge courses: AUD $285 - AUD$305 per week (depending on duration of study)
EAP : AUD $3,990 per 14 week semester

Accomodation Facilities & Costs:
BUELI arranges homestay accommodation through StudyGoldCoast Homestay, where students live with an Australian family who provide them with 2 meals per day during the week and 3 meals per day at weekends. We recommend this as a great way for students to improve their English, and to get to know more about Australian culture and lifestyles. Costs: Accommodation placement fee: AUD $190 Homestay accommodation: AUD $200 per week
