Study Gold Coast Homestay & Accommodation Centre have been operating for two years, finding accommodation for International or Domestic students, sporting groups or simply people visiting the Gold Coast wanting to stay in a safe, comfortable and friendly environment.

Study Gold Coast are able arrange Homestay Accommodation, Room Only Accommodation and Student Accommodation.

HOMESTAY ACCOMMODATION

For students who are coming from other parts of the world, Gold Coast HomeStay is a way to live and study on the Gold Coast without the problems of looking for rental accommodation, bond, electricity and other utility bills. Homestay offers a comfortable home with all facilities – a home away from home, close to your place of study.

All of our homestay families have been screened by our registered HomeStay Coordinators and also have gone through a clearance with the Australian Government. They are continually updated with tips and ideas on how to improve their students stay and also undergo regular workshops.

Many students that come and stay with our homestay families keep in touch with them long after they return to their home country. We have some homestay families that enjoy travelling to visit the students that have stayed with them over the years.

Students can choose from different packages before they arrive at the homestay. These packages include different meals and can include transport to and from their school if requested. The packages range from $180.00 per week to $210.00 per week. For a full detailed list of these packages and what they include please go to our Student Application Form.

When StudyGoldCoast receives an application form for a student we endeavour to match the student’s likes, dislikes, interests and special requests to the best homestay family. Sometimes we are not always able to match all of the requests made by the students. For example, not all of our homestay families have access to the internet or are able to provide a computer for the students however, most of the schools do have access to these facilities.

Students are placed into accommodation that is within a maximum of 30 minutes travel by bus to their school. Bus services on the Gold Coast run regularly throughout all the main suburbs and also into our rural areas. You can access the Trans Info website for details of distance from the student’s homestay to the school and how long it will take to travel.

The option of room only accommodation may be more suitable for more independent students rather than Home Stay accommodation on the Gold Coast. This option is suitable for students who would still like the safety and comfort of living with a family however they provide their own meals and transport. The price of this type of accommodation varies depending on the facilities provided. Room Only Accommodation starts from a minimum of $110 per week (including electricity).

StudyGoldCoast Home Stay and Accommodation Centre can also arrange accommodation in purpose built Student Accommodation. This is close by major universities, colleges and schools. It is also handy to supermarkets, bakeries , take-away food, shops and bars. A shuttle bus service is operated for further convenience to the student’s place of study.

Complexes with several different units each have 3 single bedroom areas available. Each bedroom has its own ensuite with shower, toilet, etc. The rooms have large single beds, wardrobe, desk, chair and bookshelves. There is a separate telephone line to each bedroom and another in the lounge. Telephone connections are tenant’s responsibility. The common kitchen, dining and lounge rooms have dining and lounge suites, TV & DVD, etc. The kitchen has an oven, cook top, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, all cooking equipment, crockery and cutlery. Ceiling fans are in all rooms.

There are units which have been specially designed for the disabled with wheel chair access. There is a lift and wheelchair access to most areas. Also we may have homestay families available with homes suitable for wheelchair access.
