TESOL - Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages
Since 2005 StudyGoldCoast has offered professional development opportunities to its TESOL members through bi-monthly meetings and workshops.
In 2008 these workshops will be held on the following dates:

- Friday 25 April
- Friday 27June
- Friday 29 August
- Friday 31 October
- Friday 28 November

The Australian Council of TESOL Associations Inc (ACTA) is the national professional body representing teachers of English to speakers of other languages in Australia. As such, it has initiated and supported the development of a set of professional Standards for TESOL practitioners in Australia.
These Standards place the learning of English within the cultural and linguistic diversity of the Australian population. They are designed to reflect the professionalism required of TESOL practitioners and the complex nature of professional TESOL practice.
