About Study Gold Coast
Study Gold Coast aims to educate the community about the value of the education and training sector and provide meaningful student experiences which add depth to the city’s social fabric. Study Gold Coast promotes the economic value of the industry in order to expand the city’s talent pool. We seek to attract employers to engage directly with the education sector by facilitating pathways between students and industry to deliver better career outcomes for our graduates.
The organisation is membership based and represented by a Committee, chaired by former Queensland Premier Rob Borbidge AO. Institutional members include Southern Cross University, Griffith University, Bond University and TAFE Queensland Gold Coast. The organisation has more than 50 ordinary members, which includes a collective of Registered Training Organisations (RTOs), English Language Schools and High Schools. Study Gold Coast also holds more than 15 associate members, inclusive of tourism operators and homestay networks.

The Hon. Rob Borbidge AO retired from the Queensland Parliament in 2001 after serving over 20 years as MP for Surfers Paradise. He was the 35th Premier of Queensland from 1996 to 1998.
