Study Gold Coast aims to educate the community about the value of the education and training sector and provides meaningful student experiences that add depth to the city's social fabric. Study Gold Coast promotes the economic value of the industry in order to expand the city’s talent pool and also seeks to attract employers to engage directly with the education sector by facilitating pathways between students and industry to deliver better career outcomes for graduates.

The organisation is membership based and represented by a Committee, chaired by The Hon. Rob Borbidge AO retired. Institutional members include Southern Cross University, Griffith University, Bond University and TAFE Queensland Gold Coast. The organisation has more than 50 ordinary members, which include a collective of Registered Training Organisations (RTOs), English Language Schools and High Schools. The organisation also holds more than 10 associate members, inclusive of tourism operators and homestay networks.

Study Gold Coast positions the Gold Coast’s education and training sector as one of the city’s fundamental economic pillars. As the peak industry body, it promotes and unites the industry and aims to grow domestic and international student numbers.

Our Strategic Plan

With support from the City of Gold Coast and the sector, Study Gold Coast will continue to grow our student cohort with an increase in the number of international students studying on the Gold Coast, produce more graduates with a bachelor degree or higher, increase employment in the education and training sector and increase the Gold Coast’s reputation as an education destination.
