Palm Beach Currumbin State High

Palm Beach Currumbin State High (PBC) has established itself as one of Queensland's leading high schools with a proud record of academic, sporting and artistic achievement. At the heart of this success is our school culture which is woven around our school motto:

'Nil Sed Optima' which means 'nothing but the best'.

On a day to day basis, our culture demands that every student and member of staff do their very best in every lesson, every day.

Our aim is to be a world-class school which nurtures the talents of every student, positioning them to succeed in their preferred careers and thrive in all dimensions of a balanced adult life including relationships, health, creativity, citizenship and recreation.

At Palm Beach Currumbin State High (PBC) we believe in recognition and celebration of hard work, effort and high achievement in all areas of schooling. We offer all students a wide range of activities and experiences not available at any other Gold Coast school. We are committed to creating valuable programs so that all students have a pleasant learning experience at PBC.

Whether you have chosen PBC to do the Senior Schooling/University Preparation Program, the University Pathways Program or the Study Abroad Program, you will find these programs to be rewarding.

You will have the opportunity to strengthen your English language skills through everyday experiences, become familiar with the Australian culture and way of life, and have the option of gaining credit in your home country for your school studies.

We specialise in organising your homestay family placements. Our families usually reside within 2 - 6 kilometres of the school and/or are located near public transport. Our families are fully screened and will provide you with a welcoming and caring homestay environment.

  • University Pathways

Students can commence in Middle or Senior School and choose subjects which will enable them to qualify for University through traineeships and certificate courses.

  • Study Abroad Program

Students have the opportunity to study in Australia for three months through to one year. It is a great way to improve their language skills and immerse themselves fully to experience the Australian culture and lifestyle.

  • Study Tour Program

International students have the opportunity to visit our school for 1 – 4 weeks and experience this wonderful cultural exchange. Study tour programs help students to gain a better understanding of Australian culture and lifestyle.
