The Gold Coast New Student Grants program offers a fantastic opportunity for international students. You can arrive in Australia, with $1000 available to help settle in to your new surroundings and life on the Gold Coast.

Eligibility Criteria
The first 250 international students who meet the following criteria and complete verification will be eligible:
- Hold a valid Student Visa (subclass 500), or have a successfully lodged a student visa application with the Department of Home Affairs (DHA), to study at an Experience Gold Coast Education Member Institution for at least 24 academic weeks.
- Be a new student with a course commencement date between 1 May – 30 November 2025.
- Submit all required documents as per the Gold Coast New Student Grants’ conditions (view full terms and conditions here).
Not eligible:
- Domestic students.
- International students already enrolled at an Australian institution.
- International students currently residing in Australia.
Applications open: 11 February – 30 June 2025 (subject to early closure if the quota is met).

The Student Visa allows you to study and work in Australia for up to five years while in a full-time education program. This compares favourably to other Australian cities like Sydney or Melbourne who can only offer three years because the Gold Coast is classified as a regional destination.
