Study Gold Coast CEO to Pursue New Ventures

Study Gold Coast CEO, Alfred Slogrove has decided to take on new ventures and the Board has today accepted his resignation.

During his tenure as CEO, Mr Slogrove has played an integral role in the promotion of the city’s education sector, attracting students from across the world to study and work on the Gold Coast. 

The Study Gold Coast Management Committee would like to thank Mr Slogrove for his significant contribution to Study Gold Coast and wishes him well in his future endeavours. 

Mr Slogrove has also advised of his intention to resign his role as Director of Gold Coast Tourism Corporation Limited (trading as Destination Gold Coast), effective as of 1 January 2023. 

Mr Slogrove would like to pass on his gratitude to the Management Committee and staff of Study Gold Coast for the opportunity to lead a dedicated team focused on shaping the city’s education sector. Mr Slogrove would also like to thank all the City of Gold Coast representatives and member representatives.

Mr Slogrove has expressed his fond memories of the success the organisation has had over his four years including, doubling our membership, working with all levels of government to change the regional status of the Gold Coast, the amazing friendships created and the hosting of Australia’s largest international education conference. 

With Mr Slogrove at the helm, the organisation has had a positive influence on the Gold Coast, and will continue to do so as it continues to feed the growing industries with the talent they need, which is critical for the growth of the Gold Coast’s education sector and economy.
