Social Media and Content Producer

Study Gold Coast is seeking a Social Media and Content Producer to join the team.

The Social Media and Content Producer will work closely with the Head of Marketing to develop and manage content across all channels to increase the reach and impact of our marketing activities. As the Study Gold Coast content champion, this role will be responsible for the day to day management of all social media and public relations activities. This role requires expertise in storytelling and producing exceptional content to engage and inspire audiences. The successful applicant will need to be a social media gun and have strong experience in media relations. This position is responsible for monitoring and reporting on social media performance, public relations outcomes and media monitoring. The Social Media and Content Producer is responsible for the creation, curation and delivery of written content and visual media for campaigns, social media, CRM activities, website and collateral. This role will coordinate Chinese social media activity through a partner agency and will need to align closely with the Study Gold Coast brand and Core Values. This role is extremely important in raising the profile of Study Gold Coast and enhancing the organisation's local, national and international media presence. This position is suited to an experienced marketing professional with a passion for content and driving engagement. The successful applicant will be self-motivated and goal-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset. Whether working individually, or as part of a team, they will be capable of planning and monitoring their own workload to deliver exceptional marketing and communications initiatives to achieve the best possible outcome for the organisation, its members and the city as an education destination.

Social media management

  • Day to day management of all social media channels  
  • Increase reach and engagement across all social media channels
  • Create, curate and amplify relevant, contextual and engaging content
  • Monitor and report on social media performance to develop insights and optimise activity
  • Ensure alignment of social media activities to the Study Gold Coast strategy
  • Assist the Head of Marketing to develop and enhance social media strategies
  • Coordinate Chinese social media activity through a partner agency

Public Relations

  • Write and distribute press releases
  • Actively seek new media opportunities locally and internationally in line with the strategy
  • Build media and communication contacts and relationships
  • Coordinate media events and familiarisations

Content production

  • Produce, curate and maintain high quality and engaging content for all marketing channels
  • Coordinate the production of visual media including video and photography
  • Create and maintain an accurate and high quality content library
  • Coordinate the development of marketing collateral including writing copy, briefing designers and managing the printing process
  • Create and update various marketing material
  • Coordinate brand activation activity


  • Liaise with communications and marketing representatives of stakeholders and other organisations
  • Coordinate project budgets and timelines as required
  • Assist with the administrative duties for marketing activities as required
  • Assist the CEO and Head of Marketing as required
