Study Gold Coast welcomes back to our city one of the 12 winners of their ‘China to the Gold Coast – an Education Experience’ campaign.

Jason was one of the 12 students who won a study experience of a lifetime visiting the Gold Coast last July to sample the city’s best education and lifestyle offerings.

Almost six months later, Jason and his mother have arrived from Chengdu to the Gold Coast for a second visit to ‘Australia’s Favourite Classroom’. Jason is exploring study options and believes the Gold Coast’s world-class education institutions coupled with the unrivalled lifestyle makes our city very attractive for him.

Jason had a fantastic experience in the Gold Coast during last year’s study experience, which saw him learn at Southern Cross University, experience our desirable leisure and social activities, gain a first-hand look into Gold Coast businesses and make lifelong friendships with his homestay family and the other students.

Study Gold Coast CEO Shannon Willoughby said the legacy of this campaign was meant to develop stronger links for our education institutions in the vital Chinese market and transform the perception of the Gold Coast to one of the country’s leading education destinations - not just a great place to visit but also to learn.

“It was a proud moment for our organisation to welcome Jason back to our city as it provides tangible proof that the legacy of this campaign is coming to life,” said Ms Willoughby.

We look forward to seeing the next steps for Jason on his education journey as the success of the campaign builds more awareness of our city as a world-class education and training destination.
